Nantahala Raspberry produces large, bright red berries with a sweet, rich flavor, typically harvested from late summer to early fall. It is a vigorous, upright shrub that reaches a mature height of 4-5 feet with a spread of 3-4 feet, ideal for fresh eating and preserves. Thriving in USDA hardiness zones 6-9 and requiring 800-1000 chilling hours, this variety is self-pollinating (self-fertile). It is known for its high yield and disease resistance.

Tip: Be careful not to plant them too deeply. The root ball should be just below the surface (one-quarter to one-half inch).

Dig holes twice as wide and twice as deep as the roots of the plant.
Space bushes 4-5 feet apart in a row, with at least 8 feet between rows.
Set the bush in the hole with the root ball just below the surface and its roots spread out. Pack the hole tightly with soil.

I’ve been meaning to write a review about this plant. I wanted to make sure I was happy with it. I did do enough research to make sure I planted these in the proper location for light and water requirements. After all this I am in fact very happy. I love picking my own raspberries
